About the business accreditation program

Is a business child and family friendly just because they say they are? For fourteen years, businesses who want to earn a "seal of approval" have been inspected and reviewed by a team of children, youth and parents through our Child and Youth Friendly Calgary Business Accreditation Program.

The first of its kind in North America, the Business Accreditation Program allows Calgary and area businesses an opportunity to be deemed a child and family friendly destination. Thousands of families from Calgary and across North America utilize our accreditation guide to select a variety of services in our city. Businesses are reviewed by our panel of "kid critics", to ensure each business is an appropriate and safe place for children, youth and families.

Being an accredited business offers group marketing programs such as our annual Child Friendly Business and Services Guide. As well, each member receives a promotional button and decal to advertise their accreditation both on their website and at their place of business.
